My Thesis Pt.1

How do you keep it real? Is it saying the first thing that comes to your mind? I think that makes you a fool. Was that last statement real? I could talk all day about people who identify with being real. But let me say this; we have got to stop using catch phrases. They’re holding us back from saying what we really want to say. We don’t always have to sound cool. Saying someone has swag every time you admire something about them isn’t accurate. And saying that you have swag is an empty statement because it is subjective. Meaning, it means something else to everyone. I try to use words that mean something.

Now what is real? Is real wearing your heart on your sleeve? Do you have to be an asshole to be real? I don’t know, but I asked these questions of myself until I started to develop a thesis and now I write. I believe if you find yourself overstating how real you are…the odds of you being a genuine persons are slim to none. I also believe that realness should be looked at as authenticness. How authentic is the person being judged for realness. Copycats can’t be real. Can they? I don’t think so. I don’t seek to define or redefine the word real. I seek to redefine your perspective on what is real. Meaning the reality that surrounds all of us.

What is real? Money? Death? Love? is it? No, Yes/No, Maybe!?! Who knows, but I implore you to be good. Be genuine. Be authentic. Be right. You don’t have to be holy. And you don’t have to be righteous. Because those are subjective to. Only an evil minded person finds a way to confuse what is good.

I don’t even know why I’m writing this. Is that real? Or is it honest? I think its funny. You can’t be ‘real’ and at the same time not be authentic, genuine, honest and in my subjective opinion good. So I’m sitting here with thoughts on my thesis already developed and inspired. My life thesis is already swimming around in my mind. You are now reading the development of the words that I can share with you.

You know thoughts are electrical. At least that’s what I saw on some show. I could break it down intelligently but I just wanted to throw it in there. I guess to say that these are the electric thoughts that I already had stored on my mental computer, I like the challenge of changing the format from electric to written. It’s intense. Real talk. Ha ha.

So this is the introduction and I’m going to pick this up. I’m not sure when but I hope I got you thinking. What’s real?

A Letter From the Fifth Dimension

Are people so disconnected that we forget everything we know? Are we so trapped by ourselves that we hold on to the roles defined by society, the ones that have been seemingly placed on us since birth? I think so. Why? We are distracted from our greatness. People before us had a purpose. It was to prepare the way for us. Today we spectate as we let others shape our world and confine us to our living rooms, distracted from the real world outside by programs made for our viewing pleasure. You’ve seen the Hulu commercials. It seems like the goal of some people behind the scenes is to keep you a spectator on the couch in your living room. One hand in the chips, other hand on the remote. I believe it is debilitating us mentally and creatively. People today should think about the future. Will they? Can they? How? People are addicted to pleasure. Pleasure is good, but pleasure in the wicked is evil. Greed is a symptom of pleasure addiction that falls under the category of wickedness. It’s a lot of wicked people out there who would rather get rich than to see the whole world prosper. Some would even do it at the expense of the environment or other people. That’s not right. We should find pleasure knowing we’re going to hold it down for the future generations. If our mode of thinking doesn’t change as a collective in societies around the world it will be the death of us.

I just want to leave you with one last thought:

Arrogance is the opposite of confidence. Arrogance uses up energy. Confidence builds energy up. Arrogance isn’t logical, confidence is. Confidence leads to positivity, arrogance leads to negativity. An arrogant man strikes, a confident man protects. An arrogant man tears down, and a confident man builds up.
